"My paintings capture moments of my daily life, the places I've been and the little things that catch my eye. My paintings are also a celebration of the medium. With the help of a palette knife, I record my subjects with texture and conviction. The idea behind using the impasto technique, is to make the viewer aware of the paint and my passion for it. Some of my greatest influences include Wayne Thiebaud, Margaret Preston, Vincent Van Gogh, Giorgio Morandi, Carolyn Meyer and Tai-Shan Schierenberg. "
